There is so much to love about Fu Manchu, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. This album has some very good songs like Evil Eye and Urethane. Fu Manchu had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. Overall, I would highly recommend Action Is Go CD.
Urethane without a doubt is the standout song of Action Is Go. The Action is Go the elegant and beautiful song on the album is hard to describe. When listening to Burning Road, it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable. Guardrail is one of the coolest songs Fu Manchu has ever recorded. Fu Manchu emotions are reflected through Anodizer. Trackside Hoax is amazing work of Fu Manchu. This track is clearly meant to showcase Fu Manchu’s vocal abilities. I was truly moved when I heard Laserbl’ast. Hogwash is the more seemingly obscure song on Action Is Go that bear up best to repeated listening. Grendel, Snowman is probably one of Fu Manchu’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. Strolling Astronomer (7:56) a good melody. Fu Manchu sings his heart out in Saturn III. Although Nothing Done is very melodic it is far from sad. The sound of Module Overload is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created.
