Give It Back one of my best. This is the first studio album from The Brian Jonestown Massacre since bad diagnosis in 1997. After seeing Super-Sonic, I had to have a good The Brian Jonestown Massacre CD. Give It Back touched my soul like nothing else.
Simply the finest work ever from this multi-talented singer. Satellite is pretty funky and mellow. Musically Malela is superior to other tracks in Give It Back. Salaam has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. Whoever You Are sets the tone for the entire album. After few listenings I started to like Sue more and more. (You Better Love Me) Before I Am Gone is probably the highlight of the album. First time I heard Not If You Were The Last Dandy On Earth was on radio driving in my car and sonically it just sounded amazing.#1 Hit Jam make listening to The Brian Jonestown Massacre like being in some sort of time warp. Servo is the song that really did it for me. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. Their Satanic Majesties’ Second Request (Enrique’s Dream) hits the heart.
