On Ein Phallischer Gott album, Hybrids have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. ten years ago, Hybrids briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Keryneia”. Ein Phallischer Gott is the best album I have heard in a long time
The sound in Keryneia is really warm and Hybrids’s signature voice is still very much present. Ruach is really a nice song to relax and listen too. Moon Far Away without a doubt is the standout song of Ein Phallischer Gott. Laughing At The Universe is exquisite song though, very addictive. In Crom Cruach the music gets its power. Sultry Waves is a great opener for Ein Phallischer Gott. The Lion and The Serpent is a good listen every once in a while. Awesome song is really all that you can say about it. Dolichenus catches attention immediately, Within the first few notes of Octahedron it’s perfectly clear that Hybrids is living this song. You can find feelings on this piece of art. Whisper is the more seemingly obscure song on Ein Phallischer Gott that bear up best to repeated listening.
