I think this is best Metal: Heavy album. Thom Yorke has compared writing for Orange Goblin’s new album to that on ‘Frequencies From Planet Ten’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Orange Goblin energies, virtually a rebirth. Frequencies From Planet Ten is awesome.
Magic Carpet - another great track from the Frequencies From Planet Ten album. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Saruman’s Wish is my favorite song on Frequencies From Planet Ten. Frequencies From Planet Ten couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track Song Of The Purple Mushroom Fish. You have to get essence of the Aquatic Fanatic’s power, to truly understand this masterpiece. As always, Orange Goblin’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener. A great put together song. Star Shaped Cloud still maintains something of a specific flourish.
