fifteen years ago, Trance - Various Artists briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Magnetic Field (Analogue Silence)”. D Saw - In The Mix is an amazing album, racked with beauty.Lead single “Thoughts (Altered State)” and “Magnetic Field (Analogue Silence)” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Trance - Various Artists “D Saw - In The Mix” is an amazing album.
Magnetic Field (Analogue Silence) which is my favorite is a truly Trance - Various Artists sounding song. House On Fire (Arkana) is the more seemingly obscure song on D Saw - In The Mix that bear up best to repeated listening. Simply the finest work ever from this multi-talented singer. This track is a fabulous selection of easy listening, suitable for any age, taste or occasion. Offshore (Chicane) is beautiful, yet underrated track. Dream (Clockwork) on D Saw - In The Mix is solid and easy to listen to. Man In The Moon (Csilla) is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. 22 (D Saw) - Trance - Various Artists first major hit. Musically Inner City Life (Goldie) is superior to other tracks in D Saw - In The Mix. Strong, powerful vocals of Trance - Various Artists in Transmutation (L S G) are very impressive. Hot Knives (Nem Cru) is another favourite of mine. Music and lyrics of Ballistique (Nunca) creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. Sacred Cycles (Peter Lazonby) - This one makes me want to not only sing along. Geomantik (Prana) is a bit of a show-tune. Fable (Robert Miles) very upbeat. I find myself hearing bits of For Us (Robert Miles) here and there throughout my waking hours. Music of Red Dragon (SEM) is gentle, never overbearing. Pearl_s Girl (Underworld) is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done.
