It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Megumi Hayashibara energies, virtually a rebirth. Self-described as Vocal with lots of words, Megumi Hayashibara comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. There is so much to love about Megumi Hayashibara, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Iravati is my first Megumi Hayashibara Album and i must say i am blown away.
I’ll Be There [Ballade Version] is probably one of Megumi Hayashibara’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. Successful Mission to me is the best you can get from Megumi Hayashibara. When I listen to Tamashii No Rufran [Aqua Groove Mix] in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. Deja Vu is the kind of record that makes you remember why music can be so addictive. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. Blew our minds when we first heard Run All the Way [Fire Ball Groove Mix]. This track is a fabulous selection of easy listening, suitable for any age, taste or occasion. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. After few listenings I started to like Asu Ni Nare more and more. Reflection is a perfect, simple song by Megumi Hayashibara at the top of his game. Thirty is another strong production from Megumi Hayashibara. I’ve found myself listening to Maayaa back to back and back many times.
