Hammerfall’s debut, ‘Glory To The Brave’, does not fit easily into one genre. It’s natural for Hammerfall to take a stab at ‘The Dragon Lies Bleeding’ considering her long-professed love for B4-4. You need to listen Glory To The Brave. It’s really cool. Glory To The Brave touched my soul like nothing else.
The Metal Age is probably the most interesting track on Glory To The Brave. HammerFall is a cool sing-along. I Believe is simple, dignified and effective, Hammerfall refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. In Child Of The Damned the music gets its power. Only one song from Glory To The Brave named Steel Meets Steel really got me. Charming song, great melody. Unchained is a good listen every once in a while. Glory To The Brave is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion.
