Ain’t Even Done With The Night is filled with very deep emotions that will truly touch your heart. John Mellencamp is one of artists that allow his songs like Hurts So Good to stand on their own and be heard. There is gorgeous mix of music in Jack and Diane. John Mellencamp sings Crumblin’ Down in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener. Authority Song is another favourite of mine. Lonely Ol’ Night had me crying as I was able to relate so well. Small Town - A strong beat. R.O.C.K. In The U.S.A. is one of the coolest songs John Mellencamp has ever recorded. Paper In Fire gives good insight into the truths. Cherry Bomb - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. Within the first few notes of Check It Out it’s perfectly clear that John Mellencamp is living this song. Without Expression is the first taste of the new album.
