Metal Detector isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. This is the first studio album from Marshall Law since bad diagnosis in 1997. This album has some very good songs like Addicted To The Pain and Devices. Unappreciated gift to Metal: Heavy
Devices - To me, this is the best song on the Metal Detector. Such hits like Empowerment will leave you hooked. When listening to Feed The Need, it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable. The first time I listened to Iridium I was struck by its gorgeous sound. Meganoid - Okay, I just talked about depth. Osmium is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after Metal Detector have ended. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Seek And You Shall Find. Swarm - This one is lively and fun. If you are a Marshall Law fan, you will love The Sands Of Time. The Seeds Of Change defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. I like to sing along with Twisted This, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. Marshall Law must have run out of lyrics on the next track War.
