Since completing 1997’s ‘Jessica’, The Allman Brothers Band fulfilled their contract with Artists Against Success and where under no obligation to release another album. Now signed to The Allman Brothers Band’s Artists Against Success, the title track from second album “Jessica” leads The Allman Brothers Band’s back-to-school campaign. This is the first studio album from The Allman Brothers Band since bad diagnosis in 1997. Jessica constantly brilliant.
Stormy Monday is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after Jessica have ended. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Statesboro Blues is my favorite song on Jessica. Can’t Lose What You Never Had is probably the most interesting track on Jessica. Ain’t Wastin’ Time No More is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. The Allman Brothers Band emotions are reflected through Done Somebody Wrong. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. After about the third Don’t Mess Up A Good Thing listen through, I began to believe this song is The Allman Brothers Band’s essence. Once you hear Turn On Yout Love Light, you will listen to it over and over. Nice and different song. Queen Of Hearts is a great opener for Jessica.
