After debuting at No. 1 last week, David Byrne’s album Feelings falls to No. 2 with 950,000, a sales slide of 66%. This is the first studio album from David Byrne since bad diagnosis in 1997. Feelings isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. It is very exciting!
I have all of David Byrne’s tracks and Miss America is probably the most his introspective effort. Once you hear A Soft Seduction, you will listen to it over and over. Dance On Vaseline is one of the best records ever. If you are a David Byrne fan, you will love The Gates Of Paradise. Amnesia marked the continuation of David Byrne in style evolution. David Byrne rocks harder than ever with You Don’t Know Me. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. Finite = Alright is a exquisite, simple song by David Byrne at the top of his game. When listening to Wicked Little Doll, it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable. One listen to the sheer beauty of Burnt By The Sun was all I needed. The Civil Wars is a excellent sing-along. (Untitled) is probably the most interesting track on Feelings. They Are In Love is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit.
