Bilingual carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. It has been six years Pet Shop Boys’ last studio CD, “Bilingual” which won Soul Train Music Award and was nominated for album of the year. When you buy a Pet Shop Boys album, you know exactly what you’re getting! Bilingual is my first Pet Shop Boys Album and i must say i am blown away.
Music and lyrics of Matmorphosis (Superfly Mix) creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. This track is a fabulous selection of easy listening, suitable for any age, taste or occasion. Se A Vida E (Enterprise Mix) is the more seemingly obscure song on Bilingual that bear up best to repeated listening. I T Always Comes As Surprise (Teatime Mellow Mix) is the album’s biggest hit, I think. A Red Letter Day (Sing and Pray Mix) is just simply stunning. If you are a Pet Shop Boys fan, you will love Up Against It (Orbital Mix). Before (Nice and Easy Mix) gets you up and jumping. To Step Aside (Dream Mix) - For me, this is the best of the album. I came to like Absolutley Fabulous (Discotech Mix). I think Paninaro 95 (Discotech Mix) is the best song Pet Shop Boys has ever done. Charming song, great melody. I have all of Pet Shop Boys’s tracks and Se A Vide E (Go Girl) is probably the most his introspective effort.
