Galore (Best Of, Compilation) really suprise for me from The Cure. It has been five years The Cure’ last studio CD, “Galore (Best Of, Compilation)” which won Los Premios MTV Latinoam?rica and was nominated for album of the year. Since completing 1997’s ‘Why Can’t I Be You’, The Cure fulfilled their contract with Alert Records and where under no obligation to release another album. It is very deep stuff.
This song may be the most meaningful. Just Like Heaven as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. Hot Hot Hot!!! (3:33) - Oh, this is one of my favorites! Lullaby is a bit different from The Cure stereotypical stuff. Fascination Street motivates you to get up and do something to improve your life and the life of others. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. The Cure sings Pictures Of You in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. Never Enough was the first single release from the album Galore (Best Of, Compilation). Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Close To Me (Closet Remix). There is excellent mix of music in High. From the sound of it, I believe the song can be a big radio hit. A Letter To Elise hits the heart. It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song. Nice and different song. Strange Attraction (Album Mix) is a very catchy tune. A great put together song. Wrong Number is The Cure’s best work in years.
