After seeing The Man Who Knew Too Little, I had to have a good Christopher Young CD. The Man Who Knew Too Little isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. fifteen years ago, Christopher Young briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Wandering Heart”. If I may, I suggest “The Man Who Knew Too Little”. That one song is amazing!
Wandering Heart (3:13) - Oh, this is one of my favorites! Turkish Rumba Splat Silly Fat Lamb is one of the coolest songs Christopher Young has ever recorded. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: Anahita, which shows, blatantly, how much Christopher Young has evolved as a singer. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. Love Needs A Pretty Face is an upbeat song with a constant snare hit. Licking Salt Off Water Weasles has a fun tempo. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. It took me a little time but I ended up loving Constant Misery. I was truly moved when I heard Barrytone Sex. Preparing For A Funeral is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. Watch That Man is astounding.
