It has been six years Deftones’ last studio CD, “Around The Fur” which won Kisima Music Awards and was nominated for album of the year. This album has some very good songs like My Own Summer (Shove It) and Lhabia. When you buy a Deftones album, you know exactly what you’re getting! I Love Around The Fur from start to finish!
Lhabia is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Deftones ever produced. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Around The Fur. Around The Fur one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. In Rickets the music gets its power. Be Quiet and Drive (far Away) is almost impossible to review. Music and lyrics of Lotion creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. All of songs on Around The Fur and have something to say letting alone Dai The Flu. Headup is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. I listened to the opening track MX and liked it a lot. This track is a fabulous selection of easy listening, suitable for any age, taste or occasion. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Be Quiet and Drive (acoustic) Bonus.
