David Arkenstone is work hard for Spirit Wind. Self-described as New Age with lots of words, David Arkenstone comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. I think this is best New Age album. Spirit Wind is one of the best cd’s i have heard through the whole thing.
Destiny is a catchy, up-tempo track that has influence of music streams without leaning too much in that direction. The sound of Companions is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. Magic is the first taste of the new album. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. Continue To Be had me crying as I was able to relate so well. I’ve found myself listening to The Wolf Hunt back to back and back many times. Northern Song is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. Wind In The Trees is an upbeat song with a constant snare hit. I believe A Special Place is one of the most perfect, heartfelt songs ever written. River Crossing - To me, this is the best song on the Spirit Wind. This track is full of harmonies and gets Spirit Wind off to a relaxing start. Changes is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Spirit Wind. I was truly moved when I heard The Long Way Home.
