Brighten the Corners one of my best. Self-described as Indie with lots of words, Pavement comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. This is the first studio album from Pavement since bad diagnosis in 1997. Such great and happy songs.
Shady lane is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Pavement ever produced. Although Transport is arranged is very melodic it is far from sad. Lyrics of Date with IKEA are precise and evocative. Old to begin is a perfect song and it grows on you. Type slowly (5:20) - Oh, this is one of my favorites! Embassy row is a cool, simple song by Pavement at the top of his game. Vocals of Pavement in Blue hawaiian really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is We are underused. Passat dream is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle. Starlings of the slipstream is beautiful, yet underrated track. This track is clearly meant to showcase Pavement’s vocal abilities.
