Self-described as Jazz with lots of words, Poncho Sanchez comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. I am not a real Jazz music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Freedom Sound’ really is amazing. After seeing Brown & Blue, I had to have a good Poncho Sanchez CD. If you want to hear real Jazz, get this record now!
In Transdance the music gets its power. Aleluia to me is the best you can get from Poncho Sanchez. Freedom Sound is a fine track on any terms. You Don’t Know What Love Is - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. MJ’s Funk pretty much defines how I feel spiritually. (Baila El) Suave Cha is a bit different from Poncho Sanchez stereotypical stuff. When We Were One on Freedom Sound is solid and easy to listen to. The opening track Latin Bit is very much like you would expect from other albums. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor.
