You need to listen First Recordings: The Alan Lomax Portait Series. It’s really cool. Ron Shawn has compared writing for Alan Lomax’s new album to that on ‘First Recordings: The Alan Lomax Portait Series’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. IT makes me wanna dance!
This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time. I like to sing along with Wished I Was in Heaven Sitting Down [#], though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. When the Train Comes Along [#] - To me, this is the best song on the First Recordings: The Alan Lomax Portait Series. I love the melodic melody of Shake ‘Em on Down [#] and to this day it makes me feel good. In this song fans will recognize the unique vocals of Alan Lomax. Woke Up This Morning (With My Mind on… [#]…) - This one is lively and fun. This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in First Recordings: The Alan Lomax Portait Series. Keep Your Lamp Trimmed and Burning [#] - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. What’s the Matter Now? [#] (4:58) a good melody. Good Morning Little Schoolgirl [#] is nothing but pure genius. I Want Jesus to Walk With Me [#] is one of the best records ever. Keep Your Lamp Trimmed and Burning [#/instrumental] - Well, here we get a bit more meaning. This is probably my favorite song on the album.
