This is the first studio album from Gotthard since bad diagnosis in 1997. Matt Honn has compared writing for Gotthard’s new album to that on ‘D-frosted’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. There is so much to love about Gotthard, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. D-frosted is the best album I have heard in a long time
Out On My Own marked the continuation of Gotthard in style evolution. It’s such an underrated song. Let It Be - Check out that bassline! From the moment you listen to Hurry you’re hooked. Hole In One which is my favorite is a truly Gotthard sounding song. Angel is one of the most beautiful songs ever to grace my stereo. Love Soul Matter - A strong beat. Sweet Little Rock’n'Roller is the albums biggest surprise. I now have Hush as one of my personal favorites. Album opener Someday is a bright, upbeat ditty. One Life, One Soul is a good listen every once in a while. I loved Get Down the first time I heard it. Mountain Mama is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. I’m On My Way is a fine track on any terms.
