This is the first studio album from Queen since bad diagnosis in 1997. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Queen energies, virtually a rebirth. Since Queen last CD (Queen Rocks) on Deathwish Inc. back in 1997, I have felt a massive void in my life. It is very deep stuff.
This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. This track is just fantastic from start to finish. It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song. I Can’t Live With You is a bit of a show-tune. I was truly moved when I heard Hammer To Fall. Stone Cold Crazy - Check out that bassline! Now I’m Here is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. When listening to Fat Bottomed Girls, it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable. Voice of Queen in Keep Yourself Alive is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant. This song may be the most meaningful. From the moment you listen to One Vision you’re hooked. Sheer Heart Attack (3:25) - Oh, this is one of my favorites! I’m In Love With My Car is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. Put Out The Fire - A classic Queen track. Headlong is a good listen every once in a while. After about the third It’s Late listen through, I began to believe this song is Queen’s essence. Queen breathes new life into the music in No-One But You (Only The Good Die Young).
