It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Spear energies, virtually a rebirth. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Spear on ‘Ancient Town Broken Bridges’. Spear’s debut, ‘Dark Waters Of Light’, does not fit easily into one genre. Ancient Town Broken Bridges and Pure is really good.
Pure - a classic song. I can’t stop playing Millenium Night. Silver Drops is worth the money. Child hits the heart. I can’t stop humming along Cipher. Sun Is High is one of the more up-tempo songs on Dark Waters Of Light. You can find feelings on this piece of art. Why Do You Sleep is beautiful, yet underrated track. Anthem is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. Rayed is the albums biggest surprise.
