While no new Various Artists album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1997 tour in Europe. Calling all stations really suprise for me from Various Artists. Calling all stations carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. Calling all stations is the best album I have heard in a long time
After you’ve listened to Congo, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. I believe ShipWrecked is one of the most excellent, heartfelt songs ever written. Alien Afternoon - To me, this is the best song on the Calling all stations. Simple and heartfelt closing track Not About Us closes Calling all stations on a high note. If That’s What You Need is a fine track on any terms. The Dividing Line is one of the best records ever. Uncertain Weather - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. Music of Small Talk is gentle, never overbearing. There Must Be Some Other Way is a very catchy tune. I can’t stop playing One Man’s Fool.
